Cultural strategy

I work with councils, cultural organisations, artists and communities to turn broad ambitions into practical plans. My current consultancy for Stoke Creates includes researching meaningful approaches to public engagement and helping shape Stoke-on-Trent’s developing cultural strategy. I’m particularly interested in who gets heard, how engagement is designed and what happens after people have contributed.

Producing and event direction

I produce projects from the first idea through to delivery, bringing together the programme, people, partners, budget and practical detail. Current work includes directing SUMMIT’s Up, Stoke-on-Trent’s new cultural development day, with workshops, training, panels, one-to-one support, networking and an evening event at Victoria Hall.

Networks and sector development

Since 2023, I have produced the Stoke Exchange Forum for Stoke Creates, creating useful ways for artists, freelancers and organisations to meet, share knowledge and develop new work. I also contribute to wider initiatives including the Stoke Venues and Events Network and Soundscape, connecting people across organisations, places and art forms.
